Looking Ahead: DNC 2008

The shortlist for possible venues for the 2008 Democratic National Convention has just gotten a little shorter.

In no particular order:

  • New Orleans, LA

  • Denver, CO

  • New York City, NY

  • Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN

(The last two are also vying for the Republican National Convention)

My pick: New Orleans. Obvious? Perhaps. The city would be an incredible locale, both in terms of post-Katrina recovery, as well as having a Democratic presence in the South (gasp!).

DNC'08: Aug. 25-28
RNC'08: Sept. 1-4

Debz- While the South is important, the Mountain West is far more purple, and I think a Denver convention could make a difference out there. You can track all the news about the convention at 2008 Democratic Convention Watch .

Glad to see the Democrats are alive at Stanford. In October '84 Mondale came to Stanford to give a speech. (I volunteered with the advance team). Keep up the good work.
