Polling Update

An Associated Press poll released today holds more bad news for Bush. His job approval rating has fallen (again), as have his approval ratings in EVERY MAJOR ISSUE both foreign and domestic:

1. Generally speaking, would you say things in this country are heading in the right direction, or are they off on the wrong track?

-Right direction: 38% (40% last month)
-Wrong track: 56% (55% last month)

2. Overall, do you approve, disapprove or have mixed feelings about the way George W. Bush is handling his job as president?

-Approve: 44% (47% last month)
-Disapprove: 55% (50% last month)

3. And when it comes to the economy, do you approve or disapprove or have mixed feelings about the way George W. Bush is handling that issue?

-Approve: 41% (48% last month)
-Disapprove: 55% (50% last month)

4. Domestic issues (health care, education, environment, energy):

-Approve: 38% (44% last month)
-Disapprove: 57% (53% last month)

5. Foreign policy issues and the war on terrorism:

-Approve: 49% (52% last month)
-Disapprove: 49% (46% last month)

6. Iraq:

-Approve: 43% (45% last month)
-Disapprove: 56% (53% last month)

7. Social Security:

-Approve: 35% (37% last month)
-Disapprove: 59% (56% last month)

Wait for the increased terror alert level the weekend before next year's election...
